During my PhD at QMUL, I had the pleasure to work with like-minded individuals who wanted to foster a sense of belonging in the mathematical community through various initiatives, all under the direction of Prof. Claudia Garetto.

We worked hard during the summers to produce resources mainly targeted to undergraduate students. In particular, I helped to co-lead and write two booklets, design posters, and start a video series:
Diversifying the Maths Curriculum at Queen Mary University of London booklet with 60+ biographies of mathematicians from underrepresented groups.
Historical Contributions of Different Cultures to Mathematics booklet with the history behind some important results in mathematics, highlighting the advancements of various cultures.
Posters about mathematicians from underrepresented groups, on display in the Mathematics building at QMUL.
A Mathematician Like Me video series of interviews featuring mathematicians from diverse backgrounds and fields.
We did lots of outreach activities, such as visits to schools in the London area and taster events. We also disseminated our work internally at QMUL, and in other universities and conferences (see in Presentations), receiving numerous awards, including the EDI Faculty Award. These initiatives also inspired other departments to address the importance of EDI in their own fields.
Our work was featured in the London Mathematical Society newsletter, with an article that I wrote with Adam Onus (shoutout to this mind behind many ideas) and Jordan Marajh.

From January 2023 to June 2024, I worked as a tutor in We Solve Problems (WSP), a maths social club for kids.
The main activity are the Maths Circles, but the very exciting Maths Battles take place from time to time. I also participated in the competitive selection process during the London Verbal Maths Challenge.
WSP is a charity, and the club is free of charge. They grew considerably in the past years, extending their presence from a couple of London universities to all of the UK and beyond (including at UCM in Madrid!). It was a very rewarding experience for me, so I encourage anyone interested in getting involved to reach out through their website.

I love learning maths, doing maths and sharing maths. I have participated in events that bring maths closer and makes them enjoyable at different levels, such as Girl's in Maths taster days for A-level girls, Queen Mary's Festival of Communities for all ages, and giving seminar talks for undergraduates.
