Teaching
In my classes, I try to encourage collaboration between my students, a comfortable learning environment, and as much active learning as possible.
Here are the courses I've taught at Oklahoma State University:
Math 2153 Calculus 2
In Spring 2024, I'll be teaching Math 3613 (Intro to Abstract Algebra) as well as the Honors Add-On Math 3890 Explorations in the Gaussian Integers.
Here are the courses I've taught at the University of Oregon:
Math 458 Mathematical Cryptography
Math 347 Undergraduate Number Theory 1
Math 348 Undergraduate Number Theory 2
MATH 251 Calculus 1
Math 246 Calculus 1 for Life Sciences
MATH 307 Intro to Proof
My number theory courses (347 and 348) focused on specially-selected topics to give my students the opportunity to explore mathematically, practice reading comprehension of mathematics, and generalize from familiar settings to unfamiliar ones. Here is a diagram of the topics we covered. I am happy to share my course materials!
