About Us

Mariachi Estrellitas de Las Cruces is a local youth mariachi program and non-profit organization. It features multiple performing ensembles, currently serving over 40 children in our community. Established in September of 2017, it was our goal to make mariachi education more accessible to our youth and keep this beautiful tradition alive. 

Mariachi Estrellitas de las Cruces offers both group and private instruction for violin, trumpet, guitarron, vihuela and guitar students of every level. The program currently has two performing ensembles: Mariachi Estrellitas, and Mariachi Estrellitas Juvenil.

Mariachi Estrellitas is our intermediate/advanced, audition-based group. This ensemble consists of more experienced musicians who have greater technical abilities on their instruments and are proficient at reading music.

Mariachi Estrellitas Juvenil is our beginner level group. This ensemble consists of entry level musicians who are still building fundamental skills on their instruments and working towards improving music literacy. No prior experience necessary to join!
