I'm a Colombian illustrator and author, and orange cats enthusiast.
I love making books with quirky and heartfelt characters. Much of my inspiration comes from my own childhood and deep love of animals—especially the five rescued cats I live with (who, to be honest, probably run my life).
I recently completed my MA in Children’s Literature: Illustrated Book at Goldsmiths, University of London. I'm the author-illustrator of ‘Mambrú the Cat,’ a picture book about Colombia’s armed conflict, which was selected for the dPICTUS 100 Outstanding Picturebooks of 2022. In 2023, I was honoured to win the Northern Illustration Prize in the UK.
Whether I’m painting penguins or writing stories about deranged squirrels, I aim to bring a voice to children’s books that is both playful and profound.
