Maria Khrakovsky

Hi! My name is Maria Khrakovsky, and I am a PhD candidate in Accounting at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I will be on the 2023-24 job market.

My research interests include accounting standards, regulation, incentive contracting, and disclosure.

Prior to joining Chicago Booth, I worked at EY in their Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, advising clients on accounting standard implementation, technical accounting, and transaction projects. I also previously worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant.

I earned Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and French, as well as a Master’s in Accounting, from The Ohio State University. I am a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois.
