Hi! My name is Maria Khrakovsky, and I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
My research interests include accounting standards, regulation, incentive contracting, and disclosure.
I received my PhD in Accounting, as well as an MBA, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I earned Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and French, as well as a Master’s in Accounting, from The Ohio State University.
Prior to pursuing academia, I worked at EY in their Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, advising clients on accounting standard implementation, technical accounting, and transaction projects. I also previously worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant. I am a licensed CPA (inactive) in the state of Illinois.
