Teaching
My coursework addresses socioenvironmental dilemmas and conflicts that encourage students to adopt interdisciplinary and experience-based approaches. I use experiments as pedagogical tools so that students “live” the concepts and dilemmas explored in the literature. My courses connect theory with current debates in Colombia and the world, and I invite a diverse array of actors to the classroom to provide rich, up-to-date perspectives from the field. A signature of my coursework is that I try to always "get out of the classroom" through field trips of varying lengths to rural and marginalized communities in Colombia.
Currently, I teach: Introduction to Environmental and Resource Economcis; Collective Territories: Development and Governance; Behavior and Public Policy.
