Modern and recent sediment gravity flows offshore eastern Sicily,

MARGRAF is a 2-yr research project that aims to address key questions on submarine gravity flows through a multidisciplinary approach and testing a novel application for monitoring these events in the future.

The project is funded under the European Union Widening Fellowship of the Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Programme (ID 101038070). MARGRAF officially started on June, 1st 2021. The project will be carried out at the Department of Geoscience at the University of Malta with collaborations to the University of Kiel and GEOMAR in Germany and the University of Brest in France. The research is led by Dr. Irena Schulten at the University of Malta.
