I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill. My research examines gender and sexuality, politics, and culture through large-scale computational analysis of literary texts and publishing data. My work appears in SSM–Qualitative Research in Health and Sexuality Research and Social Policy.
My dissertation, "Pride versus Prejudice: LGBTQ+ Young Adult Romance Fiction Production and Content in Unsettled Times," examines how young adult literature is censored, produced, and structured in response to shifting political contexts, using network analysis, time-series methods, and computational text analysis.
