Showcasing work that reflects the achievement of the five professional standards addressed in the M.Ed. in Educational Technology program at The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley.
My name is Megan Arellano and I am currently enrolled in the Master of Education in Education Technology program at The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. I have worked in the field of education for the past ten years and I am currently working as a high school science teacher in the Houston Independent School District. After the completion of this program, I aspire to be an instructional/educational technologist for a school or district because this role will allow me to assist teachers in integrating new technologies and tools into their classrooms to serve a wide range of learners.
The purpose of this portfolio is to showcase my completed projects as a graduate student in the Educational Technology program at UTRGV.
Review the Reflection Letter page to gain insight into my experiences in the Educational Technology program and my future career goals. The Matrix page is where you can find a list of Project Summary reports completed for each course. Each report will include a link to the projects for review. The Courses Taken page will lead to a comprehensive list of all the courses completed during the program, where you can also access the key projects for each course. The projects will serve as a showcase for the knowledge and skills developed during the educational technology program, which are based on my experience as a classroom teacher. The Leadership page will demonstrate my continued improvement of professional practice in the field of Educational Technology.
