I am Marta, a multidisciplinary visual artist with over 20 years of experience, starting my career in 2004. I hold a Master’s degree in Art Market from Spain, as well as two Bachelor's degrees in Visual Arts and Plastic Arts from Panama. In addition, I’m a teacher in Higher and Secondary Education, using art as a therapeutic tool to help others connect with their creativity. I also share my artistic journey and creative process on my YouTube channel, Mar Del Ros Vlogs, where I connect with my audience through artistic messages and emotions. Currently, I live in Ireland.
I was born on July 25, 1988, in Panama City, into a family of painters and educators, which deeply influenced my love for art from a young age. At 16, I began focusing on portraiture, which became a central theme throughout my studies. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Plastic Arts in 2007 and in Visual Arts in 2015, and I also published Interventions in the Natural Landscape in 2014, where I explored my life experiences through land art.
My work includes portraits, nature, and abstract forms, often using acrylics and pencils with a soft color palette. My pieces are defined by themes of poetry, tenderness, and passion, always seeking to convey a deep emotional connection with both the subjects and the viewers. In my spare time, I enjoy watching documentaries and continually seek new ways to learn and grow as an artist and person.
