About Marcy

With over 25 years of experience in project management within marketing, communications, advertising agencies, corporate environments, and consulting firms, I bring a wealth of strategic expertise to homeschool consulting. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), I've dedicated my career to seeing strategies come to fruition and fostering cohesive teamwork. My career has been marked by a passion for turning ideas into actionable plans that empower teams and individuals to succeed. From startups to Fortune 500 companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Tyson Foods, IHG, and AstraZeneca to name just a few, I am now excited to channel this experience into supporting families through their homeschooling journeys.

In addition to my professional background, I have personally homeschooled my two children since 2007. (Yes! It is possible to work full-time and homeschool.) One is currently thriving at Georgia Tech, while the other is completing high school with a mix of dual enrollment at Georgia State University, and hybrid homeschooling at Eastside Academic Studies. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the joys and challenges of homeschooling, fueling my commitment to supporting families in navigating their own unique educational paths.

Based in Atlanta, GA, USA, I am accustomed to working across various time zones and able to accommodate hours that best suit your needs. Early morning coffee chats to brainstorm ideas? No problem! Late evening conversations filled with encouragement and designing an approach that works for you? Perfect! We can do a phone call or I can send a calendar invite with my Zoom link to connect. If you’re located in the Tucker, GA area, I’m always happy to meet in person.

I am here to provide tailored guidance that builds confidence, structure, and success for every family embarking on their homeschooling journey. Let's collaborate to create a personalized approach that brings your homeschooling vision to life!

We have so appreciated the quality family time and sibling closeness as a result of homeschooling.

Mission Statement

Our mission in homeschooling for our family is to nurture a love of learning and how to learn, foster self-paced and individualized education, ensure the health, safety, and social growth of our children, and instill strong values and character, all while providing the flexibility and enriched family time that homeschooling affords.

We choose to homeschool for a combination of reasons.

We appreciate the opportunity to instill a love of learning by tailoring our teaching to our children's particular interests and talents. Equally important, we believe we are teaching them how to learn by meeting their individual needs through self-paced activities and processes. They can learn at their own level and progress as fast or slow as needed to fully absorb the material.

We prefer to accept full responsibility for their health and safety by ensuring they receive proper rest, nutritious meals and are cared for by those who love them most.

Homeschooling provides us with more quality, enriched family time and flexible scheduling. It enables our children to form friendships across a broad variety of demographics through various homeschool groups. It allows us the opportunity to mold, direct, and protect them ourselves, making character-building and instilling values a central part of everyday life.

We also appreciate having more control over what they are or aren't exposed to during these formative years. Ultimately, it's not just about preparing our children for the SAT exam but about preparing them for life.
