I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University at Albany, State University of New York. I specialize in the History of Early Modern Philosophy and the History and Philosophy of Science.
My research, which has been supported by funding from the American Council of Learned Societies, focuses on perception, epistemology, natural philosophy, and political philosophy in the 17th century.
At UAlbany, I regularly teach undergraduate and graduate courses on figures in 17th-18th century Philosophy. I also teach frequently teach Critical Thinking, an informal logic course for undergraduates.
