Become the Mind

"Become the Mind" is an anthology of short dark and abstract comics. All of the original 24 pages of linework were done within 24 hours.

The cover artwork, digital shading and layout was done later.

The cover for Become the Mind. Inspired by the 2 color Hammer Horror movie posters created in the 1960's.

"Now Who's Your Enemy" Chapter 1 is a 7 page nightmare comic using lots of photo references from various vintage books and magazines.

"Someone Who Will Die For You" Chapter 2 is another 7 page nightmare in black and white. The grey "coloring" was inspired by the well lit black and white Outer Limits television show.

"Black Magic Omen" Chapter 3 is a 7 page visual review/homage to one of my favorite films from the Hong Kong production company Shaw Brothers titled "Boxer's Omen". These are quick reference drawings of various scenes from the film.

Become the Mind was originally self-published as a 24 page digest size b/w mini comic in 2012. A Self Satisfied / Unicycle Production.
