Marco Persichina, PhD

I am Marco Persichina, I am an assistant professor in economics at the Department of Economics and Finance of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata".

My main research fields are Environmental and Resources Economics, and Behavioural and Experimental Economics.

My expertise includes Public and Common Goods, Intertemporal Resources Management, and the topics of Social Preferences and Social Norms, Risk and Uncertainty, and Elicitation Methods.

I focus my research on applying insights from behavioural and cognitive sciences to address questions on the causes and consequences of environmental overexploitation and climate change, and to identify policies and instruments to reach environmental, social and economic sustainability.

The methodology I adopt incorporates approaches of behavioural economics and experimental designs (lab, field and choice) with empirical techniques and contingent valuation to better address relevant issues involving natural resources and sustainability.
