Primal documenta gli strati delle memorie individuali e come gli eventi succedono da un punto di vista soggettivo. Le storie hanno origine dagli incontri del videomaker durante un cammino lungo 4293 chilometri attraverso gli Stati Uniti.

Il girato é un misto di archivio personale della vita del videomaker e messe in scena degli incontri avvenuti lungo il cammino. Forti variazioni di colore rinforzano l'utilizzo del formato digitale usato per creare il video. L'effetto da una sensazione simile a un quadro espressionista dove il punto di vista soggettivo sovrasta il bisogno di mostrare oggettivamente la realtà. Alla fine del video, lo stile cambia completamente proprio come cambia il videomaker alla fine del suo cammino.

Primal is a video that documents the layers of individual memories and how events take place from a subjective point of view. The stories originate from encounters that the videomaker had during his 4293 KM walk across the USA.

The footage is a mix from an archive of the videomaker's life and re-enactments of the encounters he had during his hike. Strong variations of colors reinforce the use of the digital format used to make the video.The effect gives a similar feeling as an expressionist painting where the subjective point of view overpowers the need to objectively represent reality. At end of the video, the style changes completely just like the change of the videomaker after finishing his journey.
