Marco Catola

Hi and welcome to my website!

I am a lecturer (docent) in Economics at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.

My research interests include experimental economics, industrial organisation and political economics.

I am part of COSMOPROBE, a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research aimed at studying, through both field and online experiments, the drivers of prosocial behaviours with a particular focus on social motives and cognitive modes

I am also involved in ECOESIONE, a project financed by the Italian Ministry of Ecologic Transition which explores, through a simulated macroeconomic model, the relationship between climate and energy policies, structural change in the economy, and redistributive mechanisms.

Previously, during my PhD, I have developed applied Game Theory models to study the impact of lobbying over decisions of policy and regulation.
