Reading group: we are planning to organize a reading group to study topics surrounding random fields and stochastic dynamics in geometric settings. The plan is to meet weekly, in person, with location rotating among different universities in Melbourne (e.g. between UoM and Monash). Our initial idea is to identify topics that are of interest to us and to read some core papers together. These topics need not be what we are currently working on or within one's particular research expertise. Ideally, they should be something that involve deep mathematics (and the interactions among various mathematical areas), which might potentially stimulate important and interesting research questions. We particularly encourage students to participate and contribute to speak in the reading group.
