Alpine Scholar entries: Sahti, Hammers of Lead, Basic Bardic class
Here are my intentions for my tenure as Alpine Scholar:
I am going to make an effort to teach at more events (or help organize classes at events). I am hoping to do my Basic Bardic (music) skills class again soon, but I am also thinking about teaching basic sewing/T-tunic and I could maybe also do intro to cordage (fingerloop braiding and lucet) or very basic inkle, or knitting (reading a pattern, basic stitches etc).
I tend to split my events between A&S type events and fighting type events (even if both activities are happening), so I might not be A&S focused at every event. If you are running an event in the next year and needing something A&S, please let me know and I will assist in whatever way I am able. Preliminary schedule:
- Artifacts of a Life (A&S)
- March Coronet (fighting event)
- Something Bardic (3M)
- Tain Bo (A&S)
- Egil's (fighting event)
- June Investiture
- War
- July Coronation

Marcello lives in Terra Pomaria in the Summits. He is a heavy and a rapier fighter. He often serves as a bardic judge, coordinator, and performer. He has previously taught classes on Bardic, Gender Minority Fighters, and Trans people in history (handouts available here). He has an interest in gardening as well as brewing beer, cider, and wine. He makes most of his own garb, and dabbles in many fiber arts - spinning, knitting, weaving, and more (see photos of some of his work here).
He is inspired by and inspiration to HL Arnora Durinsdottir Thunderhand. You can see battledog ColbyJack in his heraldry.
Modernly, he is a music teacher, performer, and composer; he has a PhD in music theory and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
(Note to people who want to friend me on the book of faces: I try to keep my friends list slim, so I might not add you.)
