I am a biologist from Barcelona and I have always been passionate about nature, one of my main hobbies being animal photography. I did my PhD at the University of Barcelona, working in understanding the diversity of Iberian spiders in terms of taxonomy, function and phylogeny. Now I work on the phylogeny of chelicerates using phylogenomic techniques. Although I am fascinated by animal diversity in general and arthropods in particular, having worked with spiders these last years has increased my interest for this megadiverse group of arachnids.
