USING A COMPUTER WITH A WINDOWS OPERATIONAL SYSTEM TO UPDATE

Install the Map Update Toolbox by downloading it.

1. Save the MapUpdateToolbox-inst.exe file to your desktop after selecting Download Map Update Toolbox for Windows.

2. Open the file after it has been downloaded, then follow the directions. Run the installer program just like you would any other piece of software.


Make a Backup

1. The Map Update Toolbox can be opened by clicking the icon on your desktop.

2. To connect your computer to the Map Update Toolbox, insert the SD card from your automobile into your desktop or laptop.

3. You are asked to make a backup of the data on the SD card. In case your card becomes corrupted while updating the maps, it's crucial to have a backup.

  1. Once the backup is finished, open Map Update Toolbox and log in by choosing Not Logged In from the top menu.

  2. Log in using your Username and Password if you have already registered. Choose to Create a User Profile to register right away if you haven't already.

Complete the map update process, then make a new backup.

It is advised to make a new backup of the SD card's data when the update is finished.

From the menu on the left, choose Backups.

Decide to create a backup.

Remove the SD card after the backup is complete and put it back into your car.

UPDATING WITH A MAC OPERATIONAL SYSTEM

Get the Map Update Toolbox and install it.

Select Map Update Toolbox for OS X: Download and Install.

Find the Downloads folder after downloading.

Open Toyota-Toolbox. pkg, then adhere to the directions. As you would with any other piece of software, run the installer tool. Your Applications folder is where the toolbox will be installed.

Update the maps.

  • Put the SD card from your automobile on the PC.

  • From your Applications folder, launch the Map Update Toolbox.

  • If an update is available, a button asking the user to download the most recent content will appear.

  • To start the procedure, select Download Latest Content.

  • When finished, the toolbox will show that the SD card has been updated. Choose Exit Toolbox.

  • Take the SD card out of your computer and put it back in your automobile.
