My name is Alexis Dixon, and I am a junior Anthropology student at Michigan State University. I have strong interests in all forms of history, anthropology, cultural diffusion, and art. I created this project for my Introduction to Digital Studies in the Arts and Humanities class for the audience of other students and educators, no matter their grade level, and for the general public who may be interested in this topic.
I began this project in early October of 2025 and am finishing it in early December of 2025 as my final project for my class. There is room for improvement in all things, including my project; I have 31 artifacts analyzed in my map, but there are so many more artifacts out there that can be added to further demonstrate the cultural diffusion of the lotus flower motif.
