Dr. Tina's Teachings
Dr. Tina's Teachings
Most of us can quickly name the things that matter most to us.
Our faith.
Our family.
Our health.
Our relationships.
Our purpose.
Our dreams.
The difference we want to make in the world.
But here is a harder question:
Does the way you are actually living reflect what you say matters most?
Because our values aren't only revealed by what we say is important.
They are revealed by what receives our time, attention, energy, decisions, and priorities.
You may say your health matters—but continually place yourself last.
You may say your family matters—but allow work and responsibilities to consume every available moment.
You may say your dream matters—but keep postponing it until life becomes less busy.
You may say your peace matters—but continue saying yes to things that consistently drain you.
You may say your purpose matters—but spend so much time meeting everyone else's expectations that you rarely make room for your own calling.
That doesn't mean you don't genuinely value those things.
Sometimes it simply means that somewhere along the way, your life became disconnected from your values.
And that is an important distinction.
You don't necessarily need an entirely different life.
You may need greater alignment in the life you already have.
Choose the five things that matter most to you.
Then, beside each one, ask yourself:
What evidence would I see in my life if this were truly one of my highest priorities?
Now look at your calendar.
Look at your routines.
Look at your spending.
Look at your boundaries.
Look at the conversations you're having.
Look at what receives the best of your energy—and what continually receives whatever is left over.
Not to judge yourself.
To become aware.
Because awareness gives you the opportunity to make a different decision.
You can begin moving things back into alignment.
Maybe that means protecting time with your family.
Taking the walk.
Scheduling the appointment.
Returning to your spiritual practices.
Setting the boundary.
Opening the document and finally beginning the book.
Making the phone call.
Creating space for the dream you've been carrying for years.
Sometimes changing your life doesn't begin with one enormous decision.
It begins with a much quieter one:
I'm going to start giving what matters most a place in the way I actually live.
So here's my question for you today:
What matters most to you—and what is one change you could make this week so your life reflects it a little more clearly? 💗

We spend a lot of time asking ourselves:
What do I want to accomplish?
What goal do I want to reach?
What do I want to change?
What do I want to earn?
What do I want to build?
Those are important questions.
But there is another question that may be even more powerful:
Who do I need to become?
Because your next chapter may require more than a new goal.
It may require a new level of courage, discipline, confidence, health, boundaries, leadership, faith, or consistency.
Think about the woman you want to be one year from now.
How does she start her mornings?
How does she take care of herself?
How does she respond when something doesn't go according to plan?
What does she say yes to?
What does she finally say no to?
How does she manage her time?
How does she speak about herself?
How does she handle fear?
How does she pursue the things that matter to her?
And perhaps most importantly:
What does she do when she doesn't feel motivated?
Now ask yourself:
What is one decision I can make TODAY that is consistent with that woman?
You don't have to become her overnight.
You become her through decisions.
One courageous conversation.
One boundary.
One workout.
One hour spent working on your dream.
One healthier meal.
One application.
One phone call.
One page written.
One promise to yourself that you actually keep.
Again and again, your actions begin providing evidence of the person you are becoming.
Your future isn't only something you're waiting to arrive at.
You are building it—and becoming the woman who will live it.
So today, don't only ask:
“What do I need to get done?”
Ask:
“Who am I becoming through the way I live today?”
💗 Reflection Question:
Who is the woman you are becoming, and what is ONE thing she would do today?
