Practice Ice: (20-minute sessions) will be available to purchase online once the competition has been scheduled. Sales will be made through EMS during event registration. A notice will be sent out once the practice ice is available to be purchased. If there are remaining openings available for practice, ice may be available to be purchased at the rink.

Photos/Video: We’re excited to announce that KrPhotogs Photography, LLC will be capturing all music events at this year's competition! Each skater will receive a complimentary video (without music) as part of their skater gift, courtesy of MFSC.

Awards: Awards will be presented to all skaters placing 1st through 4th in all Maplewood Fall Classic Open events. All skaters in Compete USA events will receive an award. The awards will be presented to competitors in the lobby of TCO Sports Garden immediately following the result posting. NQS: The National Qualifying Series (NQS) is a series of official U.S. Figure Skating-approved competitions hosted individually by member clubs nationwide that are held in a standard format and in which athletes earn a score. They will earn a placement in the individual competition they enter, an overall national ranking in their level, and a regional and sectional ranking. The competitions are held between June 1 – September 24 and serve juvenile – senior competitors in singles, dance, and pairs.
Excel Program: The Excel Program aims to help skaters develop their technical skills, improve their program components, and gain confidence in the International Judging System (IJS). It begins with the Aspire Program, which focuses on early-stage skating skills and transitions to more advanced levels like Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, and Senior.
Compete USA: Compete USA are introductory, fun, and non-qualifying event for beginning skaters who are members of Learn to Skate USA or U.S. Figure Skating. These competitions promote a positive experience and encourage participation at the grassroots level. It emphasizes having fun and showcasing skills learned in Learn to Skate USA classes, providing a positive competitive experience. Compete USA competitions incorporate skills from Learn to Skate USA programs, such as Snowplow Sam and Basic 1-6 levels, as well as introductory figure skating skills.
