Team SpinAllDaWay is a First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team comprised of 7th graders from nearby middle schools. We are a co-ed team of 16 students. This is our first year building a robot, and we are excited for the challenge!
As an FTC team, our mission is to design and build a robot that exceeds expectations and can win the competition. We begin by outlining the key tasks our robot should accomplish. As a team we constructed a graph that averaged out the amount of points that the different methods of Next, and we translated these ideas into detailed Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models. Using these plans, we construct our robot with high-quality components from RevRobotics and GoBilda,
Why Do We Build Our Robot?
Each year, the FTC competition introduces new requirements, objectives, and constraints for participating robots. This ever-changing landscape makes every season an exciting and fresh challenge. Our team competes once or twice a year, bringing our unique robot to face off against other teams, each showcasing their own creative designs. The game has rules and ways to score points, just like any other sport. Using these guidelines, whichever team scores more points advances to the playoffs. Though a series of eliminations and advances, a clear winner is declared.
As we are a new team, we do not have a lot of parts. We have to buy or make all components for the robot. To do that, we need sponsors' help to build a competitive robot before the first competition on December 13th. Anything you can donate would be appreciated. We can't do this without you! Donors have their logos on our website and T-shirts.
