Suzette Power Kelly is a mixed-media artist living and working in Centreville, Maryland. She attended The Art Institute of Chicago, and graduated from The Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA) with a bachelor in Fine Arts degree (BFA). Her love of collage and constructions was developed while a student at MICA and continues to the present.
Suzette was a mural artist for Beautiful Walls for Baltimore, and operated a ceramics studio at School 33 in the same city. Her work can be seen in numerous private and public collections in the United States and Canada. Her Canadian heritage is often reflected in her work. She attended Emma Lake Artist Workshop in Saskatchewan, Canada and studied under the British sculptor, Anthony Caro.
She has been an art teacher for many years, teaching all ages and venues, and is certified in Art Education for K-12. Her passion for art and literature are manifested in myriad visual ways. Suzette has recently finished working on a series of mixed media constructions, titled, The Cheese Box Series.
