This Privacy Policy applies to the Kardix mobile application, hereby referred to as the “Application”, created by Maotaw, hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”. Kardix is provided as a freemium service and is intended for use “AS IS”.
Kardix is designed as a local password-generation and private blueprint application. The Application can use an NFC card and/or phone-only mode to generate the same account details again when the same private blueprint and PIN/passphrase are used.
Information Collection and Use
Kardix does not require an account.
Kardix does not upload your generated passwords, generated emails, PIN, passphrase, NFC blueprint, or vault data to servers operated by the Service Provider.
The Application may store information locally on your device, including:
- Encrypted phone-only blueprint data
- Encrypted NFC card backup data when you choose to export or import a backup file
- App settings and mode preferences
- Premium unlock status
- A local list or count of generated services/sites for app limits and statistics
This data is stored locally on your device and/or inside backup files that you choose to create. Backup files may contain encrypted private blueprint data. You are responsible for keeping your NFC card, PIN/passphrase, phone, and backup files safe.
NFC Data
Kardix uses NFC only when you tap an NFC card and use NFC-related features. The Application may read, write, format, or back up supported NFC cards when you choose those actions.
Kardix cannot format or control unsupported, locked, payment, access, bank, or proprietary NFC cards. If you choose to format or overwrite a writable NFC card, existing NDEF data on that card may be deleted.
Generated Passwords and Emails
Kardix generates account details locally on your device from your private blueprint, PIN/passphrase, and the service/site name you enter.
The Service Provider does not receive, store, or know your generated passwords, generated emails, PIN, passphrase, or private blueprint.
Backup Files
Kardix may allow you to export and import backup files. Backup files are created only when you choose to export them. These files may include encrypted private blueprint data.
You are responsible for storing backup files safely. Anyone with access to your backup file and PIN/passphrase may be able to restore your private blueprint.
Google Play Billing
Kardix may use Google Play Billing for one-time premium purchases. Payment processing is handled by Google Play. The Service Provider does not receive or store your full payment card details.
The Application may store your premium entitlement locally so premium features can remain available on the device after purchase verification.
Third-Party Services
The Application may use third-party services that have their own privacy policies. These services may process technical information according to their own policies.

Internet and Cloud Storage
Kardix does not operate a cloud vault for your generated passwords or private blueprint data.
The Application is designed so your sensitive password-generation data remains local to your device, NFC card, and backup files you create.
No Artificial Intelligence
Kardix does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your password data, NFC blueprint, PIN, passphrase, or generated account details.
Location Data
Kardix does not collect precise location data from your mobile device.
Data Sharing
The Service Provider does not sell your personal data.
The Service Provider does not share your generated passwords, generated emails, PIN, passphrase, NFC blueprint, or local vault data with third parties.
The Service Provider may disclose information only if required by law, such as to comply with a legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
Data Retention
Data stored by Kardix remains on your device unless you delete the Application, clear app data, delete backup files, overwrite an NFC card, or remove the data through available app features.
If you uninstall the Application, locally stored app data may be deleted by your device operating system. Backup files that you exported manually may remain wherever you saved them.
Security
Kardix is designed to protect private blueprint data using encryption and a PIN/passphrase. However, no method of storage or protection is 100% secure.
You should use a strong PIN or passphrase, keep your NFC card safe, and store backup files in a secure location.
Children
Kardix is not directed to children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact the Service Provider so appropriate action can be taken.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all use of the Application by uninstalling it from your device.
You may also delete exported backup files from your device storage manually.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
