I am an Assistant Professor jointly affiliated with the departments of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mathematics at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi.
Prior to joining IIIT Delhi, I was a visiting faculty at the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS) at the Krea University, from March-June 2022.
From February 2020 to January 2022, I was a postdoc at the Alexander Kofkin Faculty of Enginnering at the Bar Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel, working with Dr. Ran Gelles.
Previously, from January 2018 to January 2020, I was a postdoc at the COMELEC department at Telecom Paris (formerly Telecom ParisTech), Paris, France, working with Prof. Aslan Tchamkerten and Prof. Mansoor Yousefi.
I obtained my PhD in 2017 from the Electrical Communication Engineering department, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India, where I was advised by Prof. Navin Kashyap. The later half of my PhD involved a collaboration with Prof. Chung Chan's group (who was then affiliated with the Institute of Network Coding, Chinese University of Hong Kong).
My PhD thesis was conferred with the Seshagiri Kaikini Medal for the year 2017-18, awarded by IISc for the best PhD thesis from the ECE department.
Prior to joining IISc, I did my Bachelors in Engineering from the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering department at the Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.
My research interests broadly include information theory and its applications to various domains, and specifically to interactive communication. Recently, I have been delving into some learning theory. A brief description of my research can be found here.
Jointly with Dr. Ran Gelles, I organised a Theory Seminar at Bar Ilan University for the academic year 2020-2021.
