I'm a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, a neuropsychologist, a researcher, and a science communicator. I have been an academic scientist for more than ten years and I was also a medical manager and a scientific writer for a while. I always loved disseminating scientific advances to the lay audience besides experts in the filed!
How do we make decisions about money and food in everyday life? What happens in our brain when we act altruistically toward strangers? And what about the role of our body in such decisions? As an experimental researcher, academic lecturer, and science communicator, I am interested in the neural correlates of intertemporal choice and prosocial behavior. In particular, I explore the domains of delay discounting, social discounting, and brain-body signals integration by working with brain lesioned patients and other clinical populations, as well as by implementing behavioral, fMRI, hormonal and psychophysiological protocols.
Besides research, I like travelling, reading, cooking, enigmistics, watching movies, riding bike, nature, Asian cuisine...
