Manual Backlinks Service: Prices, Process & How to Choose (2026)

A manual backlinks service builds links to your website by hand, through real outreach and real placements, not bots or software. Plans start at $50 a month. Before you pay anyone, it helps to know what a good service includes, what it should cost and which warning signs to watch for. This page covers all three.

A proper manual link building service mixes link types so your backlink profile looks natural. A typical monthly plan from SEO by Subham combines three kinds:

• Outreach links (1 to 4 a month): I contact real websites in your niche and get your link placed inside a relevant article. These carry the most weight.

• Foundation links (50 to 120 a month): profiles, citations and listings that use your brand name and URL consistently, giving your profile a natural base.

• Web 2.0 blogs (10 to 30 a month): unique articles about your topic, published on established blogging platforms with a link to your site.

Every plan also includes a link plan (target page and anchor text mix, set before work starts; anchor text is the clickable words of a link), a shared progress sheet, and a full Excel report at month end. You can view a sample backlink report (PDF) before you decide.

Here are the three monthly plans, each for one target URL:

• Starter, $50/month: 1 outreach link, 50 foundation links and 10 Web 2.0 blogs. Best for local businesses, small blogs and new sites.

• Growth, $149/month: 2 outreach links, 85 foundation links and 20 Web 2.0 blogs. Best for growing businesses and blogs.

• Authority, $249/month: 4 outreach links, 120 foundation links plus bonus Tier 2/3 links (extra links that point to your Web 2.0 posts and other backlinks, not to your site, to make them stronger), and 30 Web 2.0 blogs. Best for ecommerce stores, agencies and competitive niches.

If you want a cheap manual link building service to start with, Starter at $50 is the smallest plan that still includes a real outreach link.

Outreach-only plan: $399/month for 6 outreach links on niche sites with DR 20+ (Domain Rating, Ahrefs' 0 to 100 score for a site's link strength) and 1,000+ monthly organic visits

Guest posts: from $150 (DA/DR 25 to 40), $250 (DA/DR 35 to 55), $399 (DA/DR 50+). DA is Domain Authority, Moz's version of the same kind of score.

Niche edits: from $99

Broken link building: $149 per link

High authority links: from $60

• How links are built: a manual service finds, checks and places each link by hand. Bulk packages use software and mass submissions.

• Link sources: manual links come from real sites with real traffic. Bulk links often come from link farms and low-quality sites.

• Volume: manual links arrive steadily, spread over months. Bulk packages deliver hundreds at once.

• Risk: low for manual links done properly. High for bulk links, which can be devalued or lead to penalties.

• Reporting: a manual service shows every live link, its type, target page and anchor. Bulk reports are often vague or missing.

• Price: my manual plans cost $50 to $249 a month ($399 for outreach-only). Bulk packages often cost a few dollars per hundred links.

A package like "500 backlinks for $99" can't be built by hand. If the numbers look too good for the price, assume bots.

1. Send your site and target page. Tell me the one page you want to rank.

2. Free site check. Before you pay, I look at your site and tell you if something (broken pages, very thin content) needs fixing first.

3. Pay and start. After PayPal payment, work starts within 1 to 2 hours on working days, and you get a shared Google Sheet.

4. Careful site selection. Outreach sites need DR 15+ and at least 1,000 monthly organic visits (guest posts need more). I check spam score, ranking keywords, traffic sources, domain age and backlinks first.

5. Monthly report. You get the full list of live links at month end. The next month continues unless you change the plan.

Use this checklist with any provider, including me:

• They explain exactly which link types you're getting and how sites are chosen

• They show live links and a real sample report

• They avoid link farms, private blog networks (PBNs) and link software

• They spread links over months instead of delivering everything at once

• They offer a refund or replacement policy

• They let you pick the target page and anchor text approach

• They tell you when you don't need to buy

Link farms, private blog networks, comment spam, auto-approve directories and sitewide footer links can lead to devalued rankings or a manual action. Google lists these practices in its spam policies on link spam. Recovery usually takes months and often means disavowing links you paid for. Paying a bit more for fewer, better links is almost always cheaper than cleaning up after bad ones.

A good fit: local and small business sites, blogs and affiliate sites needing authority, new websites, online stores, and agencies or consultants with client sites.

Not a good fit: casino, CBD and adult niches (not accepted), and anyone who wants hundreds of links in a single day. Bulk dumping can do more harm than good.
