About

I'm a second-year neuroscience PhD student working on optimising microstructural imaging methods with Siemens Healthineers and Università di Trento.

Supervised by Prof. Jorge Jovicich, my research focuses on implementing Correlation Tensor Imaging (CTI) on clinical scanners to disentangle the biophysical origins of diffusional kurtosis in the human brain. By revealing the contributions from overlooked entities such as microscopic kurtosis (μK), the project works towards developing a fast diffusion sequence that would reveal the fine structural changes like cell swelling and dendritic beading observed in very early stages of dementia, ischemic stroke and glioma.
