All signups must be completed online. Please refer back to the home page where you can find links to the respective volunteer signup pages.

Signups can be easily changed. At the time of signup you should have received an email confirmation.
To modify or cancel your signup:
Refer back to the confirmation email you received upon signup, and click "Edit My Sign Up". This will take you back to your original signup information, where you can modify your name, stake, quantity (number of people in your group).
Once you are finished press, "Update my Sign Up"
If you wish you cancel your signup, press "Delete". You will then be prompted on the next page to confirm that you'd like to delete your signup.

Ushering:
Brethren – Dress slacks, suits, white collared button-up shirts, ties, conservative belts, jackets or sweaters (optional)
Sisters – Blouses and skirts, dresses, sweaters and jackets (optional)
Shoe Covering:
Girls and Women helping with the shoe coverings, please be mindful of how you dress. To avoid embarrassment, dresses and blouses should have high necklines and long hemlines.
Parking:
Dress warm. Layers are a good strategy since March and April can be cold, hot, wet or windy.
Please note: women can wear slacks (no jeans please).
Storage areas are very limited. Bring only what you need. Medication or small amounts of food that need refrigeration can be stored in the refrigerators in the galley.
Ushering:
Please arrive 60 minutes prior to your assigned shift in order to get situated and attend your training. Volunteers will gather in the Marriage Waiting Room (formerly the cafeteria) for training.
Shoe Covering:
Please arrive 60 minutes prior to your assigned shift. Volunteers will gather in the Marriage Waiting Room (formerly the cafeteria) for training.
Parking:
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your assigned shift. Those on the first shift should arrive 45 minutes prior to your shift.
Volunteers should drive up the SOUTH driveway and park in the SOUTH parking lot. (If that parking lot is full, park on top of the EAST hill.)
Volunteers enter through the WEST doors of the temple. (Located by the laundry room.)
Volunteers should wear shoe coverings while they are in the temple.
Ushering, & Shoe Covering:
Volunteers will gather in the Marriage Waiting Room for training. (Formerly the cafeteria.)
Support Staff:
Volunteers will meet in the temple basement in the maintenance area. Volunteers will receive from the Support Staff Supervisor, a radio and a security lanyard. (One side will say SECURITY, and on the other side there will be instructions on how to handle requests from parking volunteers as well as phone number for the sheriff, ambulance and fire station.)
Parking:
Visit parking tent (behind Family History Center) to receive your assignments from your Stake Representative and pick up your safety vest, ID tag, and other equipment, if needed for your specific assignment.
Parking (for volunteers only) will belocated on the south side of the Temple, about a 1/2 block east of the Baptistry. Access the parking lot from 4th North, turn north by the housing for the Temple President. Please carpool, when feasible.
Parking Volunteers:
Volunteers park on the west side of parking lot 5 on 100 East St. Visit parking tent (behind Family History Center) to receive your assignments from your Stake Representative and pick up your safety vest, ID tag, and other equipment, if needed for your specific assignment. Please carpool, when feasible.
Each Parking and Transportation volunteer will be given a safety vest to wear.
Each volunteer will be given final instructions for traffic flow, visitor parking lot locations and sequence of parking lot use.
Some Parking and Transportation volunteers will be given a two-way radio and instructions for its use.
If you are assigned a golf cart, instructions for golf cart use will be provided to assist attendees. Please note, you must be 21 yrs of age and have a valid driver license)
In case of accident, or medical incident outside, CALL SECURITY, who will then call the Sheriff's Office, or ambulance, as needed.
Note: Security will also have two-way radios and a first-aid station will be staffed inside the Temple
Our quiet temple voices are used within the temple.
In case of emergency or other needs please communicate with your floor supervisors who will carry radios.
All Volunteers will be given a lanyard to wear. Lanyards will be color-coded for: Stake Representatives, Floor Supervisors, Shoe Covering Supervisor, Committee Chairmen and Security. Lanyards are to be turned in at the end of each shift.
Youth ages 12 to 14 years old or older are welcome to help with shoe covering.
Ushers inside the temple must be mature and responsible. They set the spiritual tone for the guests as they come to the temple. Youth ages 14 years of age and older (if very respectful and mature) can usher inside the temple in hallways. Sealing rooms, instruction rooms, spiral staircase posts, etc. must be assigned to mature adults.
Yes, please work with your shift coordinator. Please let them know if you are needing a break to rest, use the restroom, or for any reason.
Please ensure that you eat before your shift. There will be limited snacks and water available to volunteers
The Manti Temple open house is a "silent" walk-through with a designated route. There are no tour guides. People can take their time as they walk along the route. Families or groups can sit in a sealing room, instruction room, or the Celestial room to quietly discuss the temple experience; however, ushers will be assigned to each sealing room to help maintain reverence and protect furniture, murals and altars.
Typically less people attend in the morning and crowds increase during the afternoon and evening hours.
Please leave your cell phone in your car if at all possible. If you do bring a cell phone into the temple, it must be on “silent” and out-of-sight at all times. It is not appropriate for volunteers to be texting or talking on a cell phone while they are in the temple.
It is estimated that each tour will take about 30 minutes.
This Temple tour is NOT handicap accessible. If a guest arrives in a wheelchair, they will only be able to tour the main floor. Covers will need to be put over the wheels of their chair.
We ask that the Bishop, family, or friends contact their stake representative to arrange for an appointment for those who are sight and vision impaired. They can be guided through the temple by a family member, a member of their Bishopric or another church member. Arrangements must be made in advance if we are to provide a guide for someone with vision impairment.
Shoe coverings will be located in front of the flowerbeds by the front door. Portable heaters will be provided for those who are outside and helping visitors with shoe coverings. This area will be covered by a tent.
