1909 Ferenc Wohner establishes his furniture factory Wohners outside the castle hill of Budapest, Hungary in the village of Budafok.
1956, during the Hungarian Uprising Ferenc's son John and Grandson Robert flee to America with only the clothes on their back and find work at the Bronstein Woodcarving factory in New York and establish Wohners Inc. 1963
1975 Robert expands the business creating a decorators showroom and specializing in period architectural interiors in Englewood, New Jersey.
1980 Fire burns down the Englewood factory, hundreds of patterns and samples lost. Family rebuilds.
1991 Robert's son John joins the business and they create a catalog of carved ornaments for the cabinet and furniture industry
2000 they begin supplying the kitchen cabinet industry with machine carved ornaments expand with a NJ warehouse and manufacturing hubs in Jamestown, NY and Williamsport, PA
2014 Fire destroys Ashville manufacturing facility, cheap imports start to flood the cabinet market.
2020 factory closes. Wohners.com liquidates inventory
