2005 | Results of the PhD research work were published -by Professor Roger M. Rowell- as new scientific data 

in his book entitled ‘Handbook of Wood Chemistry and Wood Composites’ (CRC Press, 2005) 






2002 | Elected as Department Chair at the age of 36. During this (2002-2006) as chair of the 

new Department of Wood & Furniture Design and Technology at TEI of Larissa, & coordinated key academic initiatives 

(new curriculum, new prefabricated building, new laboratories organised, recruitment of four new faculty members, 

new enactment for the rights of graduates, organisational plan for the student internships, new PR Office)






1994 | At the age of 28, he acquired a PhD degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) in wood science. 

From this doctorate work, six (6) original papers were published in referred journals. Up to date (Feb. 2022), seven 

hundred eighty (780) citations have been made on this research.
