Research interest of Dr. Manoj Praveen G.

My interest is in 'thinking' and 'cognition' with a focus on problem solving.  I wonder at questions like: how do people (especially students) comprehend and solve  problems and how do they transfer skills of thinking and problem solving to daily life situations?

I would be curious to find out how computer assisted learning with illustrations and collaborative learning techniques, influence the learning process. My research efforts are aimed at designing "problem solving learning environments" that could improve conceptual understanding and problem solving ability of learners.  In short my domain of research is a blend of cognition, instructional strategies and technology.
