MATHRADAN STICK ON ART (MSON ART)

Manojkumar Mathratanveedu (born 30 January 1980) also known as Mathradan Kanayi, is a contemporary artist and professional graphic designer from Kannur, Kerala, India. He is the creator of a unique and original art form known as “Mathradan Handmade Stick on Art.” This innovative technique, which uses glossy vinyl stickers and reflective stickers, is recognized as one of the first-of-its-kind art forms in India.

Each artwork is meticulously handcrafted by cutting and individually pasting small sticker pieces onto an art base. This process results in highly detailed compositions with striking textures, vibrant colors, and distinctive visual depth. His subjects often include spiritual, cultural, and natural themes such as Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Lord Krishna, Theyyam, flowers, and symbolic portraits.

After years of experimentation and dedication, Manojkumar successfully developed this original style of expression. His works have been showcased in exhibitions and featured in newspapers and magazines, gaining appreciation from art lovers and the wider public.

In addition to his work as a fine artist, Manojkumar is also a skilled graphic designer with over 12 years of professional experience. He specializes in creative branding and visual communication using industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. His design work includes branding, retail and packaging design, logo creation, vector illustration, office stationery, social media creatives, banners, posters, and final print-ready designs.

For Manojkumar Mathratanveedu, art is both a spiritual and meditative practice as well as a professional discipline. His creations reflect patience, precision, and creativity combined with modern materials and digital tools. Through his innovative art form and design work, he aims to introduce a new visual language to contemporary Indian art and inspire future generations of artists and designers.
