I am an Assistant Professor in the Renewable Energy Programs at Texas Tech University, focused on renewable energy and energy storage integration in the electrical grid - Education and Research. Before joining Texas Tech, he was with the smart grid and technology department of an electrical distribution utility and interned at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. I received the M.S. degree from Texas Tech University in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016, both in electrical engineering. I have several publications in leading power- and energy-related venues. My research interests include modeling and analysis of active distribution networks considering the power quality and economic impacts of distributed energy resources. I have participated in more than $15M (~$5M individual credit) in funding from external grants.
