Manohar Chamana

I am an Assistant Professor with the Renewable Energy Programs at Texas Tech University - focused on renewable energy and energy storage integration in the electrical grid - Education and Research. Before joining Texas Tech, he was with the smart grid and technology department of an electrical distribution utility and interned at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. I received the M.S. degree from Texas Tech University in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte in 2016, both in electrical engineering. I have several publications in leading power- and energy-related venues. My research interests include modeling and analysis of active distribution networks considering the power quality and economic impacts of distributed energy resources. I have received more that $4M funding from external grants.
