Mannum & Districts Darts Association Rules

1)     Teams are to consist of a minimum of 4 players. Either men, women or mixed. Mixed teams are to be classed as a men’s team for finals matches. A minimum of 3 players are required or match will be forfeited. Extra players are permitted to be used as substitutes in the doubles and team matches.

2)     Matches to consist of team doubles and singles, each count as one point (7 points per match). Match order to be a mutual agreement between captains pending on players present at 8.00pm.

3)     Singles to be straight start 501, double finish best of 3 legs. Doubles straight start 601, double finish 1 leg. Team game straight start 801, double finish 1leg.

4)     Starting time 7.30pm sharp, new players can be registered up to 8.00pm on the night and must be written on the score sheet. Opposing captains must be advised. Players can fill in for opposing team subject to agreeance from both captains.

5)     Players must play 5 matches to qualify for finals and 8 matches to qualify for end of season dinner. Dinner costs will be determined at a later date. Association Championship Games qualify as games played.

6)     Singles players names to be filled out on score sheet by 8.00pm.

7)     Team sheets must be completely and correctly filled out, signed, and monies tallier, including highest scores, peg outs and tons. Penalties will be applied for non-compliance.

8)     In the event of a forfeit, the team receiving forfeit shall be awarded 2 premiership points plus 4 percentage games. Teams forfeiting -no points-no game. Team sheet and normal fees to be lodged by team receiving forfeit.

9)     Registration fee of $20.00 per player must be paid by 4th night of season -no pay-no play. Game fee of $3.00 per player/per night, which also applies to championship games.

10)   If unregistered players are reported, the offending team will lose all points and percentage for that match.

11)   All protests to be lodged in writing to the Competition Secretary within 24 hours of the starting time of that match in question. The Management Committee will appoint an Independent Disputes Committee to adjudicate. Both parties may attend hearing to give evidence. Judgement will be final; no appeals will be entered in to.

12)   Centre of board will be fastened 1730mm from the floor – throwing distance shall be 2370mm.

13)   Centre Bull counts of double 25.

14)   All persons excluding score marker shall stand well behind the thrower.

15)   A mutually agreed nominated person may give players advice during game.

16)   Minimum age for players is 13 years, and a parent or guardian must accompany them.

17)   Substitute players are only allowed to play 2 nights at the normal $3.00 fee, further games require the full registration of $20.00.

18)   At least two representatives from each team must nominate for the Club Championship Singles events (men and women). Team penalties will be applied for non-compliance.

19)   If games are programmed on public holidays, the match will be played on the following night.

20)   Closed in footwear is an essential requirement. No open toe shoes at all will be permitted unless a medical certificate (giving reason) is supplied.

21)   Mercy Rule- If both players are left throwing double 1, after 10 throws if neither player hits the peg out (30 darts each) both teams must mutually agree that both players then throw a single dart closest to the bull to determine the winner of that game.

Only applies to singles games and only during minor rounds.
