My love of science started in my high school chemistry class.  I loved learning the "hows" of the natural world.  Through scientific learning, we can do our best to make choices that will set us up for success in the future. 

I grew up in Southern California as one of six kids in my family. My wife and I met running high school cross country. Together we moved to northern Utah where we attended Utah State University. I earned my degree in Composite Teaching- Physical Science and she became Dr. Kasin, the audiologist. From college, we moved to Ohio before coming to Albuquerque! 2026 added the new adventure of parenthood with our family of 2 becoming a family of 3, and what an adventure it's been!

Over the past several years we've travelled far and wide together, visiting all 50 states and a few different countries. We have a love for the national parks (visiting 56/63 parks), running, biking, and paddle-boarding.

I'm excited to be here and can't wait to share my love for chemistry and physics with you! I hope you're ready to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!
