š„Getting Started with Tibetan
Where do I start? The lessons at this site will give you a sneak peek into Tibetan in a way that may be more accessible to English speakers and perhaps less intimidating at first. But for developing real fluency, I encourage you, as your interest and curiosity become sufficiently piqued and your motivation is well-established, to take advantage of the wealth of immersion materials at Esukhia.
After you have reviewed your objectives and evaluation strategy, read the customs article so that you are prepared for when you enter cultural settings.Ā
Speak dialogues aloud - doing this helps you to learn key sentence structures and new vocabulary in context.Ā
Find yourself a "language parent" - a native speaker or an advanced learner who you are motivated to talk to and feel safe and happy enough to practice regularly with.Ā
Make mistakes - don't be shy to communicate your own sentences in broken language and learn as you go. The mistakes and correcting them are what help pave the neural pathways to fluency. š„°

Esukhia provides excellent materials for learning through immersion and you can use the steps on my page about the Esukhia immersion method to navigate your way.Ā
