Primarily we work towards using Fairness in AI and Mechanism Design.
Fairness in ML - we study the bias against certain demographic groups (like age, gender, race etc) in predictions from machine learning models. We look for new ways to preserve fairness while maintaining accuracy. We additionally also study the trade-off between fairness and differential privacy.
Fair Resource Allocation - we consider the problem of distributing indivisible goods and/or chores among interested agents such that the allocation is fair and efficient. We also consider situations when agents utilities are modelled under externalities.
Mechanism Design - we work towards modelling various auction and crowdfunding mechanisms
