How to join Manipur Cerebral Palsy Football training sessions? 

To join the Manipur CP Football Team’s training sessions, the process is open, inclusive, and designed to welcome para-athletes—especially individuals with cerebral palsy or related physical disabilities—from across the state. 

Venues and Schedule

• Primary Venues:

  • Thangmeiband Athletic Union (THAU) Ground, Thangmeiband, Imphal West

• • Occasionally, sessions or special events are also held at SAI NERC Takyel for broader para-sports programs.​

• Training Schedule:

  • Days: Saturday and Sunday for YAC AND Everyday at THAU ground.

  • Time: Sessions generally start in the morning (around 7:00–10:00 AM), with additional afternoon sessions during tournament season.​​

Notes for Participants

Both venues are used interchangeably:

• YAC Ground hosts introductory and technical training.

• THAU Ground accommodates full-pitch practice matches and pre-tournament preparations.

The team posts venue details before each session on its Facebook page (@manipurcpfootballteam) and Instagram handle (@manipurcpfootballteam) to help players attend the correct location each weekend.

Affiliation and Guidance

The training program is supported by the Spastic Society of Manipur, which assists with athlete development, physiotherapy, and inclusion programs. Visiting their office at Langthabal Kunja, Canchipur, Imphal West can provide additional support for new athletes.​

Participation Notes

• New participants should bring basic identification and disability certificate during their first session.

• Volunteers and support staff are also welcome to join to assist with coaching, physiotherapy, and event coordination.
