Overview
MangaGo is a manga and comics reader. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how that data is used, how it is stored, and how users can contact us about privacy requests. This policy applies to the MangaGo mobile app on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Permissions Used
The Android app requests Internet and network-state access so it can load manga content, account data, reading progress, images, search suggestions, bookmarks, reviews, advertisements, and related app services. The Android app may also declare advertising-related permissions such as Google Play services Advertising ID and Android Privacy Sandbox ad services permissions so Google Mobile Ads can serve and measure ads. Firebase and platform plugins may add notification, wake-lock, foreground-service, biometric, or fingerprint permissions used for messaging, secure device storage, analytics, crash reporting, and app-service reliability. The current app does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or Bluetooth.
Data We Collect
If you create an account or sign in, the app may collect the name and email address you provide, authentication credentials submitted for sign-in or account creation, and authentication tokens returned by the service. Passwords are submitted only for authentication and account actions and are not intentionally stored by the app on the device.
The app may collect reading-related data needed for core functionality, including guest token, saved manga, reading history, reading progress, reader settings, chapter status, ratings, reviews, and account deletion requests. Search terms may be sent to the service to provide search suggestions and results. Recent search text may be kept locally during the app session.
The app may collect analytics and advertising-related data through Firebase Analytics and Google Mobile Ads, including app opens, screen and feature interactions, reader progress milestones, ad placement lifecycle events, approximate device and app information, crash or diagnostic context where enabled, and advertising identifiers where available and permitted by the device and platform settings.
When the app communicates with the service, standard technical data such as IP address, request time, device or app headers, network status, and server logs may be processed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
How We Use Data
We use data to provide app functionality, including account access, guest reading, library sync, bookmarks, reading progress, chapter navigation, manga discovery, reviews, ratings, search, customer support, security, abuse prevention, debugging, service reliability, analytics, ad delivery, ad frequency control, and ad performance measurement.
Data Storage and Security
The app stores authentication tokens and guest tokens using secure device storage where available. Reading content images may be cached by the operating system or app runtime to improve loading. Data sent between the app and the service is transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate for the app's functionality.
Third-Party Services
The app uses backend API services to provide manga content, accounts, bookmarks, reading progress, search, reviews, and related features. The app may load images and content from remote servers. The app uses Firebase Analytics for app and feature measurement, and may mirror app events to Firebase Realtime Database when configured. The app uses Google Mobile Ads to load banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and Firebase services may process device, app, analytics, advertising, and diagnostic data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Sharing and Sale of Data
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with service providers, including backend hosting, Firebase, and Google Mobile Ads, as needed to operate the app, provide analytics, serve and measure ads, comply with legal obligations, protect users, prevent abuse, or maintain the service. Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data may be processed by Google Mobile Ads where available and permitted by platform settings.
User Choices and Account Deletion
You may use the app as a guest. You may sign in to sync saved titles and reading progress. Signed-in users can use the available Profile options to edit or delete their account where supported. You may also contact support@mangago.app to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help.
Children's Privacy
MangaGo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, data practices, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
