Development and characterization of hard and wear-resistant MMC coating on Ti-6Al-4V substrate by laser cladding

• Good internal metallurgical bonding and better claddibility

• Significant improvement (70 to 80%) in micro-hardness of the cladded samples

• Specific wear rate has been reduced to about 25 to 35%

• Coefficient of friction for the coating is varied from 0.15-0.45
