Introducing Wilson Lǎoshī, a dedicated Mandarin educator with a strong academic background and extensive teaching experience.
Wilson Lǎoshī holds a Master of Science in Learning Sciences (Education Science) from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), awarded in 2022. He has two years of tutoring experience and has attained Level 8 certification in the General Graded Chinese Examination (HSK 5) from Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Furthermore, he holds a Diploma in HSK Level 1 Conversational Chinese from Alison, an institution accredited by CPD UK.
In addition to his academic qualifications, Wilson Lǎoshī has actively participated in a range of Mandarin training programs, including Chinese for HSK 4, Business Chinese, and courses on Chinese Culture and Contemporary China through HRD Corp e-LATiH in Malaysia. He has also completed specialized training in Chinese Language Elements, Language Skills Teaching, and Teaching Methodology, offered through courses conducted by Shanghai Normal University in collaboration with the Kong Zi Institute at Universiti Malaya.
Currently, Wilson Lǎoshī is a full-time teacher at Chung Hua Middle School No. 1 in Kuching, Sarawak. He possesses significant experience teaching Mandarin to diploma students at various private colleges and also operates as a part-time freelance language tutor, offering both online and in-person classes. To further his professional development, he is currently pursuing an online Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) at Open University Malaysia (OUM).
Having grown up in a mixed Chinese family and having benefited from a high-quality Chinese language education, Wilson Lǎoshī is passionate about facilitating the learning of Mandarin for non-native speakers.
