1. Where is Mandalipau White Water View & Fishpond located?

It is located in Mandalipau, Papar, Sabah, Malaysia about an hour's drive form Kota Kinabalu, using the old Papar Kota Kinabalu route. The final stretch includes small village roads and a short gravel section.

2. What activities are available?

Visitors can enjoy

3. What are the entrance and rental fees?

Entrance: RM5 for adults, RM3 for children, free for senior citizens

Canopy/Picnic table: RM20-30 depending on type and location                               

Life jacket: RM5 (adult and child sizes available)

Ample parking near picnic area

Mini stage for small event like family day or birthday party 

5. Is it safe for swimming?

The river current is generally not strong, but ot is deeper in the middle. Life jackets are recommended, especially for children and non-swimmers. Safety notices are strategically placed around the area.

6. When is the best time to visit?

Weekdays or outside of school holidays are best for a quieter experience, as it can get crowded during weekends and holidays.

7. How do i get there?

Follow Google Maps to  Mandalipau, Papar. Look for the 'i love mandalipau' sign at the entrance. The final approach includes village and gravel roads, drive carefully and watch for signboards, especially near PLKN Wawasan, Kampung Ovai Papar

8. Are there any environmental concerns? 

Visitors are encouraged to keep the area clean and avoid contaminating the river. Management is urged to maintain cleanliness and consider moving canopies further from the river to help preserve the environment.

9. Are there nearby restaurants or places to eat?

There are food stalls on site, and several restaurants are within a short drive, such as Restaurant Auntie Ping and Kak Anna Restaurant.

10. How long do people typically stay?

Visitors often spend a few hours to half a day, especially if picnicking or barbecuing.
