Manash R. Das is, since 2008, a Principal Scientist at Advanced Materials Group, Materials Sciences and Technology Division, CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat, India. He is also Associate Professor in Academy Council of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), CSIR-NEIST Campus, India. He has carried out his PhD research work at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat andreceived his PhD degree from Dibrugarh University, Assam, India in 2007 in thearea of materials science. Between 2007 and 2008 worked as a postdoctoral fellowwith Dr. Rabah Boukherroub, Associate Editor ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute (IRI), France. More than 173 peer reviewed research articles has been published and  fifteen (15) book chapters and one edited book. Current research interests include functionalization of graphene and other 2D nanomaterials, borophene and  boron nitride chemistry, nanozyme, decoration of metal nanoparticles, bimetallic nanoparticles and metal oxide on the graphene and other 2D nanosheets sheets and their applications in photocatalytsis, peroxidase mimic activity, organic catalysis reaction, colorimetric and fluorescence  detection of analyte, sensor, paper based analytical device etc.
