With Executive Order No. 57 signed last March 25, 2024, the Presidential Office for Maritime Concerns (POMC) replaced the National Coast Watch System Secretariat. Among the responsibilities of the POMC is to provide consultative, research, administrative, and technical services to the National Maritime Council (Council) and to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the policies of the Council.
The POMC is headed by the Presidential Assistant for Maritime Concerns, Secretary Andres C. Centino. The office is under the Office of the President.
