MAMS Spanish classes particpate in "¡El Escape!"
Mrs. Yaltzindeg’s 8th -grade Spanish class participated in an exciting educational activity called Breakout! or, as they called it, “¡El Escape!” The students were told their class was going on a field trip to Mexico but, because they overslept, they didn’t have an opportunity to pack everything they needed. Through word puzzles, games, activity wheels, and interactive activities regarding their daily routine, each group had to solve four puzzles to open the locks to t breakout boxes. The winning group won a “snack for the flight!” ¡Qué divertido!

Italian Students Invent Apps!
As a culminating activity in the technology unit, Ms. Steinhaus’s Italian students created original smart phone apps. After watching an Italian video about the top 10 iPhone Applications of 2018, students worked in pairs to invent a new iPhone App. Using modern-day vocabulary for phones and technology, students created an app description and symbol. They also included steps to use the app and described the app’s capabilities. The students enjoyed putting their knowledge to use in a fun, creative way.
